The symptoms you refer to (cough, cold, harsh throat and stuffy nose) are frequent in both summer and winter due to seasonal allergies and the presence of rhinoviruses that survive best in cooler environments respectively.
If this is a case of common cold (or even an allergy), you may find some relief by irrigating your nose with a saline solution spray; as for the harsh throat and coughing, you may find comfort by drinking warm liquids and by drinking a mixture of warm water with honey and lemon. You may also try to make gargles with saltwater (4-8 ounces of warm water with 1/4 teaspoon of table salt).
Above all, be sure to get some rest, drink lots of fluids (to keep you hydrated) and avoid extreme temperature changes. Also, you may use some over-the-counter cold medications to relieve symptoms including sore throat, runny nose, congestion, and cough.
If this is something that has been going on for a long time, there's probably more behind those symptoms than just an allergy or the common cold and there might be a need for you to tell your parents about this and seek advice with your primary physician or directly to an ENT (Ear-Nose-Throat) specialist, as the symptoms may be secondary, for example, to a deviated septum or a chronic sinusitis.
